The greater number

gardenI go back to the garden at moments like this, after this massacre in Paris, when the world seems over, when death envelopes. I find nature marches on, fearlessly, in glorious expression, head held high. And however controversial this may sound in the face of evidence such as Paris, Syria, so many avoidable tragedies in the world, I believe human nature, too, is inherently good. The greater number of things, of people, are good. This I still believe.
