Moments of doubt
I tried to ride the bikeshare in Pittsburgh this past Sunday (I test them everywhere I go). It didn’t go well. The kiosk didn’t work, so I called customer service (twice) and finally spoke to someone in Germany, of all places, who said he’d release a bike if my credit card accepts foreign currency charges. The thing about bikeshares is that you don’t want to have moments of doubt–that you’re not going to be able to return the bike easily, or that your credit card is going to get screwed up. I had doubt. I didn’t do it.
