Free and open to the public
On the day I finished reading Ryan Gravel’s excellent new book, Where We Want to Live, about the repurposing of catalyst infrastructure like the Atlanta BeltLine and others around the USA and world, I saw this transient man at a park right on Belty. There are few men like him passing through anymore, even though it’s free and open to the public. There are few low-income people living in homes along this stretch anymore either. Ryan talks about this a lot, and shares strategies to ensure inclusion. But they’re not really working. My book may shed some light.
