He is a National Parks employee. He has a service dog with him, perhaps a seeing eye dog because I believe he is blind (or close to it). He opens Ebenezer Baptist Church every morning, as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center (the most visited national park in the United States). I watched as he felt around for the keyhole, fidgeted with the keys, took a moment to inset the one that opens the lock. I watched as he and the dog entered. I don’t know if he saw me, but I’m sure he knew I was there.
