The man sat down at the public library close to me and opened a newspaper. He then proceeded to take out a magnifying glass and meticulously use it to read the entire paper, cover to cover. I couldn’t stop glancing at him and noticing how dedicated he was to reading, how hard it was. I couldn’t stop thinking how much eyeglasses could help, if he could only get them. I couldn’t stop wondering if some group helps people in need who want to read — some group that provides, well, readers to readers.
