I’m celebrating six weeks today of being able to run errands safely as #OneLessCar on this relatively flat and unavoidable main road in a suburb-city of Atlanta, with big fat thanks to #BikeNoodle. I feel ridiculous that I have to use it (and I don’t need to use it when I ride in the City of Atlanta), but it is undeniable that it has made an enormous difference. There has not been one incident — not one — since I started using it (as opposed to almost every single time I rode here beforehand). I tried a fatter yellow noodle and a less-fat pink noodle and I like the pink noodle with my new sticker best — you can order your own sticker here. Note: it will take years before that grass sign is removed and a bike lane is added (and, no, I wasn’t riding on the grass). I’m not a fighter. I’m a bike rider. And I have places to go today.
